What Type of Visa will I Need? You will most likely need a "visitor" visa. This is a non-immigrant visa for persons who wish to enter the United States temporarily for business or to attend trade events such as NYCIFF. What Documentation is Required to Obtain a Visitors Visa? All visitor visa applicants must have the following: Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-156 (or newer DS-160 Online currently available in only some countries), completed and signed (information about both the DS-156 and DS-160 is available online hereor by visiting the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate) Current, valid passport or travel document Photograph (2" x 2", passport type. Some applicants, according to nationality and type of visa, must also pay an issuance fee Evidence of funds to cover expenses in the United States Evidence of compelling social and economic ties abroad Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-157, for men between 16-45 years of age.
