Synopsis
Ron and Laura Grawsill are taking America back! With the help of local politicians and the “Real Suburban Housewives of Bakersfield,” Ron and Laura take on the fight against Obamacare and Gay Marriage! But, when they decide to film their protests, the “culture wars” land right in their own backyard! Their son is Gay! The Housekeeper’s not legal! Muslim Americans! African Americans! Ron and Laura are determined to save their son — and their country! In the final showdown, Ron and Laura lose their healthcare coverage, and take the battle to their favorite reality TV star, America’s Top Celebrity Designer: Bob Zackie!

MEL ENGLAND (Co-Director) As an actor, England has starred on Screen and Stage, Off Broadway, internationally and across the USA, and he recently signing to co-star with Academy Award Best Actress Nominee and Golden Globe Winner Sally Kirkland in the upcoming feature “Love Anonymous”. England stars alongside Horror film star Sid Haig and Jacob Zachar of TV’s “Greek” in the indie hit “Little Big Top” (available on Netflix and Amazon), and in “Persona Au Gratin”, Winner Best Comedy, IndieFest LA. He also starred in “Highlights” nominated for Best Drama in the Moviefone Short Film Festival. On Stage, he has performed Off Broadway, regionally and internationally in Europe. His solo show “Swimming with the Polar Bears” premiered Off Broadway, then toured world-wide. England’s solo show “Navajo Memoirs” was dubbed “Ingenious” by Backstage. England also starred in the New York and Los Angeles premieres of Israel Horovitz’s one-man play about September 11th, “3 Weeks After Paradise,” “Lucky Man” (Best Acting Ensemble Award, NY Fringe), “A Shayna Maidel” (Best Play of the Year, Denver), and was a proud part of the original New York productions of Chris Sanderson’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Sea Monkeys” by Tony Nominee Chad Beguelin, “The Honeysuckles” (developed for television by FOX), and “King of Connecticut” with Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
JANICE MARKHAM (Co-Director) is a writer, actor, musician, activist and Artistic Director of the non-profit Vox Box Arts Collective and co-founder of the sister company, Vox Box Entertainment, along with her husband, Gideon Markham. Vox Box Arts’ current projects include the Caja de Arte education program and First Draft Stories play series with Angelica Street. Projects in development include “The Rainbow Crow” with producer Stacey Wilson. This muti-media project was recently work-shopped with VBA co-founder, Emmy Award winning designer, Keith Mitchell and VBA Lead Artist, Golden Globe Best Actress nominee Irene Bedard. Besides her performances with VBA, Janice relished portraying the grandma, mother and granddaughter in the short film “Miriam Cornsweig’s Farewell Performance,” which aired on the Sundance Channel. She originated characters in two off-Broadway shows produced by Amy Lord: “The Boychick Affair” and “Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral,” one of NYs longest running off-Broadway productions. As a violinist, Janice plays in the Klezmer band and Jewish theater ensemble Mostly Kosher, and the world music trio Triumph of the Egg. Performance venues have included the Skirball Cultural Center, Autry Musem and John Anson Ford Theater. Janice is also a freelance writer for Disney Publishing and Cartoon Network. She lives in Eagle Rock, California, with Gideon and their daughters Raina and Czeska.
